The New Gotham stands just north of Chelsea, and west of Times Square, in Hell’s Kitchen. This huge, slab tower provides spectacular views of the Hudson River. There are many off-Broadway theaters nearby as well as numerous restaurants and Ninth Avenue in this area is famous for its food stores and restaurants. The large and impressive Javits Convention Center is a few blocks south, and an entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel is nearby. Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton is up and coming and seems to get better every day thanks to the addition of hip and unique boutiques, bars and restaurants.

Why You Would Want to Live Here

The New Gotham is an enormous building, and the apartments are well-finished. The location, which places you just west of Times Square, away from the hustle and the bustle but close enough to take advantage of the numerous opportunities the area has to offer, is great. Walk down a bit and you’ll find yourself in Chelsea; hop on the crosstown bus at 42nd Street and you’ll be at Grand Central in no time. At $56/square foot, The New Gotham is a bit overpriced for the area, however – so if you’re looking for an inexpensive Clinton apartment, keep looking!
