The median monthly price for the available units is $4,050; this figure for previous rentals topped out at a lower rate of $3,497.

The Upper West Side was previously known for its walk-up, pre-war buildings, but glass-fronted towers like Aire, and Corner (which is, of course, around the corner from Aire) are pioneering the “rentals-with-condo-finishes and amenities” revolution in the neighborhood.

Why You Would Want to Live Here

If you can stomach the insanely high rents (prices at Aire are about twice as much as neighboring units on the Upper West Side), Aire has just about everything you could ever dream of. It’s luxury living without the commitment of a condo purchase, and it offers all the amenities that a condo building would, from the private garden with 1/2 acre park to the resident outdoor entertainment and dining area. The finishes are top of the line, but the prices at Aire reflect this. In short, if you’re willing to fork over the goods, you can live in the lap of luxury at the center of the world, just moments from Julliard, the Time Warner Center and more. Aire probably isn’t for young professionals, but it’s perfect for thirty-somethings with cash burning a whole in their pocket, and even families looking for three bedroom homes with no detail overlooked.
