The Avalon Bowery Place is expensive, and understandably. Mere mortals can hardly afford to live on the Bowery these days, and the last of the tenement  houses have long been torn down. You’ll also be shacking up with movie star Anne Hathaway, who rents in the building. The floor to ceiling windows mean tons of natural light, and the finishes are top of the line. The neighborhood can’t be beat – it’s the place to live in downtown Manhattan right now, and offers access to tons of public transportation.
