Whether you’re willing to pay this much in a still-developing area is up to you. The Lower East Side is chock full of hip bars and eateries, but some areas are still quite decrepit, and the subway service is fair at best. New developments are going up left and right in the neighborhood, so if the LES is where you want to be, snag a unit now, before newer real estate makes price skyrocket.
