Post Luminaria is a luxury apartment rental building located on the corner of First Avenue and 23rd Street in Gramercy. The building is located on the sleepier side of 23rd Street, and for this reason, is nice and quiet come nighttime. The residences are luxurious and well-updated, and the building is pet friendly, so four-legged friends are welcome in the large green space behind the building. Apartments are large and sun-drenched thanks to oversized floor to ceiling windows. They boast updated kitchens and baths with granite countertops and wood cabinetry; while amenities range from urban zen gardens to rooftop sun decks.
Units and Pricing
There are currently no available units at Post Luminaria, a testament to the popularity of the building. Previous units ranged in price from $2,575 to $5,850/month. The average price per square foot at Post Luminaria is $58, a bit high considering that the building sits on a semi-abandoned stretch of 23rd Street.
Features and Amenities
Spacious studios, one-bedroom apartments (some with dens) and two-bedroom apartments all offer floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as oak flooring throughout, gourmet kitchens with organic granite countertops, GE appliances and tile flooring, well-appointed bathrooms that feature both classic French limestone and modern washer and dryer units. Residents enjoy a sundeck and urban garden, as well as a resident’s club with a regulation-sized pool table, large screen entertainment system and lots of seating. There’s also a fitness center, which features TruTM and Cybex cardio equipment and strength-training equipment.
The corner of 23rd and 1st is a bit abandoned – the building sits directly across from Peter Cooper Village and looks over to FDR. While the area is a bit deserted at night, there is plenty to do within walking distance – it’s just simply not right outside your doorstep. Gramercy East itself has little to offer besides the park along FDR, but walk down a bit and you’re in the vibrant East Village, walk west and you’ll hit the heart of Gramercy and then, the Flatiron. Just a few blocks in either directions, you’ll find everything you need.
Why You Would Want to Live Here
East Gramercy is an up and coming neighborhood, what with Phillip Starck’s building popping up right next door to Post Luminaria and Peter Cooper Village improving its offerings each year. The building offers large units, great amenities and top of the line finishes. It might not be the most spectacular residence in the world of Gramercy apartments, it does the trick!
